Hi,
we have Dashboards 4.0 SP5 installed on a 64bit Windows 7 laptop. The 'Add Query' button does nothing when pressed.
I have checked the licence key in the registry and it is a permanent key. I have checked and importing a QaaWS query works ok.
We have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times and still no luck. Same install file and same keycode works fine on a very similar laptop.
Can anyone help?
thanks
Keith

Check if there is any firewall between client and server if so try to disable it and then check. Also disable antivirus.
Also try from a different machine if the issue is same.
Check in fiddler that are there any calls for dswsbobje.Check if there is any error in fiddler.
Install TCP View and track the communication.
Also check whether you are using the key for departmental edition for Dashboards.
Check in cmc->applicaions->web service whether the access url is correct

Hi Keith
You have used the enterprise license key, right?

Agree with Runali.. You must have enterprise license however normally if the license is not enterprise it disables the button..
Also when you click on add query button does the login to the repository box appear where it asks to login to the repository?
For you issue check the KBA below... this could be related to Web service app properties not setup correctly..
Hi Durgamadhab,
we don't see any error message, the button press animation happens but nothing happens, we can still press the button again and again. The rest of the application is still useable as well.
If the logon screen had opened up but was outside the visible area of the screen then the rest of the application would be greyed out.
thanks
Keith
