Dear Experts,

I have a Batch Problem in EWM,

Step2.  Create Batch for Product in EWM - OK

I can't Display this batch characteristics in EWM,

Show the message Batch Valuation does not exist.

Please check the figures as below:

I can Change This Batch Characteristics in EWM,

and I key in Characteristic Value12 in EWM.

When I save this characteristic, it's still show's blank in EWM ,

But I can see the Value in ERP

The characteristics value disapper, after I click save button.

ERP system can show's value 12 that I Key in

I have check data integration in EWM and ERP,

Problem:

1. How can I display characteristics in the product for batch? How to solve the message Batch Valuation does not exist in EWM

2. I can change characteristics value in the product for batch. After save the characteristic,it's show blank in EWM

But I can see the characteristics value in ERP.

Thanks for your help!

Howard

Hi everybody,

Check the assigmnet into the class/characteristics configuration, must have the indentifier considered the integration model

-One integration model for classes and characteristics, and other for batch and product will be needed.

-Standar characteristics must be activated in ERP, and when classes and characteristics are sent via CIF will automatically create class 230 in EWM

Before version 9.4 only batch in material level is needed

I found how to fix this issue.

Go to EWM-IMG -> SCM Extended Warehouse Management -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Cross-Process Settings -> Batch Management -> Set Update Control (Centralized, Decentralized)

Then, change Bat. update indicator from " " to "3".

Thanks Guys,

Still facing the issue.

1.   when i cif the materila, class, batch from ECC to EWM system fails to create the classification in EWM though the batch and material are ciffed.  when i look at the details in CFM2 i actually dont see the classification that i assigned to my batch in MSC1N.

2.  I tried to manually create the Class in EWM with class type 230 and i assign the char"LOBM_VFDAT" i get the following error:

Characteristic LOBM_VFDAT is not a reference characteristic in class type 230

I suspect this is why i can't seem to keep the values save to the batch in EWM...

Any ideas?  Greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Faical

Hi Faical

Have you selected org.indicator as "W" (EWM Organizational Area) and class type "23" (batch) while cifing classes along with material and batch?

Thanks Sasidhar, i got the class to cif but when it comes in to EWM the characteristics are blank.  and when i add it i get the same message:

Characteristic LOBM_VFDAT is not a reference characteristic in class type 230

i am able to save.  As a result of this when i create the batch i cant seem to be able to save the SLED date.  its always blank....

Thanks in advance,

Faical

Hi Faical

If CIFing is correctly done, then go to your EWM system and check below.

1. Transaction: CL02 - Classes

--> Enter Class: BM_MATERIAL; Class Type: 230 and click on display

--> Go to "Char" tab and check whether characteristic LOBM_VFDAT is added or not.

--> If it is not added, please add it. Or if it is already added, check this class validity and status.

2. Transaction: CL04 - Characteristic

--> Enter Characteristic: LOBM_VFDAT and click on display.

--> Check validity and status.

If you smell anything wrong make sure that you CIFed this class and characteristic and maintained properly in EWM.

Thanks for reaching out Sasidhar.  I am still unable to save the characteristics (in this case SLED) to the batch.  I can do that fine in ECC but when the batch comes to EWM and i try to display it i get the same error about valuation...  if i try and add the SLED to the batch in EWM i also can't get it to save there.  I tried CIFing Class, characteristics many times and same results...

Your time is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Faical

Hi Hsiao,

were you able to resolve this issue?  I too cant seem to be able to save the SLED date to the batch and get the same error.  I did try to CIF the batch from ECC and still can't get it to display in EWM.

Thanks in advance,

Dear Faical,

I have solved this problem.

1.Try again CIF, must transfer Class,Master,Batch "together"!

2.Check T-code /SCWM/MAT1   product  classification display correct class!

Please let me know!  If it does'nt work~

Hi Faical

After CIFing material with batch and classifications it worked well. So, I advised you to re-CIF corresponding master data.

Thanks

Hi Howard,

As you created Characteristic and Class in ERP and transfer to EWM. In same way create batch in ECC and transfer and check all the details will be displayed as required.
