Can't connect Tableau to HANA

Dear all

I want to use Tableau to connect to HANA, but I can not establish a working connection.

Please find my connections detailsl attached.

The error message I receive says "[SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB32 DLL][HDB] Communication link failure;-10709 Connection failed (RTE:[89006] System call 'connect' failed, rc=10060".

Could you please give me your ideas what is going wrong here?

Hi Gitta,

You have to first open a DB tunnel and then enter the connection details as returned by the tunnel.

I did as you suggested. Unfortunately it is still not connecting.

What can I do differently?

Host should be localhost.

Just to confirm - password is the one returned by the open-db-tunnel command?

What's the error now? Any additional details in the logs?

Yes, the password I got back from the db-tunnel command.

The error message is:

Quick transaltion:

I opended another tunnel and entered my connection details as you said.

Now it is working and I am happy.
