We recently (this month) upgraded from Crystal Reports 2011 to Crystal Reports 2013. The download link we were given was for Service Pack 1. I understand that Service Pack 2 was released in late November 2013 but there is no download link for SP2. Would SAP please provide a download link for SP2?
Thank you.
Hi,

To everyone looking for updates for Crystal Reports 2013 / 2011 / 2008.
I used to upload the updates manually and surreptitiously to the SAP ftp server. Unfortunately the server would only keep the files for 30 days. Uploading all of the files manually started to be a fair amount of work when you consider the number of files. Now, with a recent change at SAP, the ftp server only holds the files for 21 days. I simply do not have the bandwidth to keep updating these download links, never mind that I was actually going against SAP policy.
I would urge all of you needing these files to contact the SAP Customer Interaction Center or Sales (NA: 866-681-3435, WW offices), see what they tell you.
BTW.; CR 2011 updates can be found here:
http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm
With apologies

Hi guys,
SAP is driving me crazy as well...
I've contacted the Customer Support - opened up a ticket and till now I've got many "out of the box" replies...
BUT still no valid download link.
Why I have to contact Customer Support to simply get a product SP????
Do I need to check for another product?
Seems like SAP doesn't likes their customers anymore....
Hi Peer
Can you please post the Incident number? I'd like to see what I can do.

I am really confused and pretty upset. I have been using Crystal Reports since 2008. I do not understand why these updated service packs are not linked to the software manager that comes with the product.
What is ever worst is why they are not on the website like they were in the past versions. What the hell is going on here?
I just purchased 2013 upgrade and this is not more than 2011 with no enhancements! It does not even work properly. I tried to import a spreadsheet database from Excel and I get a login error code 0x80040154.
Paid $295 for a piece of crap. 2011 never gave me any problems and I thought the Dashboard was incorporated in 2013 so I upgraded. Tell you now I will never buy another SAP product again. Ill make sure I let Hasso know too I see him at the Sharks games.
Hi Ludek,
Thanks for your answer.
I've just checked for the incedent number, but there was no id provided.
I had contact with the following people:
<email removed> (Why is Dell handling the support?)
I've opened up the request on the SAP Customer Licensing Portal:
#RT# Customer Support Request for SAP Customer Licensing Portal: CR 2013 SP3
Hopefully this will help you.
Regards,
Peer

Hi Peer
I feel your pain re. updates - have for years as you can see by this 5 page thread, which BTW., is not the only one on the subject of updates for CR. If you can highlight this to Hasso, I'll be in your debt until I'm pushing up daisies , as I have not had any success moving this issue along.
Re. Incident number. Phone Incidents are created here:
Crystal Single Case Technical Support - SAP Business Objects US Online Store | SAP Online Store
Customer Support Request for SAP Customer Licensing Portal, is not support.
Remeber these are Community Forums, not technical support. As such any member of the community may choose to help you out. I am not sure how you contacted or been contacted by Dell. If Dell initiated the contact and gave you her email, that is her choice (BTW., I removed the email from your post as this is not allowed as per the SCN Rules of Engagement).
Now, reading your post, I'm a bit confused on where we stand at this point and I am thinking that creating a new Discussion with the current issue will be the best thing to do. I am sure we can help you out, but I need you to go with the actual and current issue please.
With apologies,
- Ludek
Hi Ludek,
Thanks for your efforts.
One really friendly guy from SAP Austria helped me now.
There's already a SP04 release.
Sorry, I don't understand this SAP philosophy to annoy their customers and not providing updates even by the integrated update tool the easy way - like every other company.
Regards,
Peer
Thanks for your efforts Ludek.
Unfortunately I too have been struck with the same issue as everyone else here. Would like to bring our Crystal Reports 2013 (SP1) install up to date to fix an issue I am having.
Took your advice tonight and phoned the customer interaction center to ask for a link. After 15 minutes on the phone and being guided around the SAP website to try and find it (which I had already done) and being put on hold a couple of times, was advised that there is no direct link and because we don't have a maintenance contract we can't sign up for the Marketplace to get it. Was actually advised by the support rep to put a post up on the forums and see if someone will post a link!
It is rather farcical, I have to say.... I've been in the IT game for a fair few years and really don't remember seeing anything so ridiculous.
If someone can help, that'd be great, if they can't well I guess I'll just have to live with it, either way one can't help but conclude that it's a typical big company that doesn't care about their smaller customers.
Hi Benjamin
Many thanks for noting this. This is a very new update - finally - something we were asking for a long time ago as a temporary work-around to the downloads issue. The Service Pack is 4 - which is the latest. Hopefully once SP 5 is released, the eval page will get the update also. Now, if you already have a previous version of CR 2013 (v. 14.1.x) and you try to install the current SP 4, you will get the following:
So you have to uninstall the current SP - BUT*************(!) make sure you have backed up your keycode!
Once the uninstall is completed you can install the eval and use your permanent keycode when prompted.
And a bit of an FYI re CR 2011 (v. 14.0.x), the SP downloads for that version are here:
http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm
Note that all SPs are cumulative.

Thankyou. I didn't initially consider this option given the OP said the download (at the time he purchased) was out of date. And I wasn't keen to download 700mb and go through the whole uninstall/install process without knowing for sure it was current anyway...
I've got my install up to date with SP4 now which is good. Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately it didn't fix my problem (program crashes when trying to link tables) and after many hours of troubleshooting and trying different solutions suggested here I've given up on it.
Read the blog An Update for the Saga of Service Packs for CR 2011 / 2013 to find out how to get the latest Service Packs for CR 2011 and CR 2013

yeah - never ending story...
I've been noticed that SP5 is already out there, but not the hack any idea where to get it.
You could try this link for the download of SP4 - you have to sign in and download it via the trial section.
Please remind Ludeks comment - save your license key prior upgrading - it's a full install.
Maybe someone will find the SP5 download link.

Here is a link that works. At least it did for me. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
- Ludek
Hi
Done. This link will be good to March 28. Please note that this is an incremental build. E.g.; you must have CR 2013 with a lower SP already installed..
https://share.sap.com/a:328ro3/MyAttachments/7f6ee0bf-4a16-494a-b8ca-3dac42b352a8/
And many thanks for the heads up

Thanks for the link Ludek, but it looks like the file is corrupt:
Extracting dunit\shared.tp.aurora.poco-4.0-core-32\content.cab
CRC failed in dunit\shared.tp.aurora.poco-4.0-core-32\content.cab
Unexpected end of archive
I've tried the download with two different browsers. Same result.
Could you check the file on your side and re-upload a working version?
Thanks!
Hi Freek
Please try this link:

and please do let me know if it worked

This one fails a bit further along the installation:
Apparently I don't meet the prerequisite "Minimum support package version".
Information: This update is for SAP Crystal Reports 4.1, which has not been found on the system. Install it and then continue with this installation
I also noticed this is 2013 SP2 Patch 3. Maybe I need one of the earlier Patches first?
I'm currently on version 14.1.1.1036
I am so sorry about all of this nonsense. Please try the file from this link:
https://share.sap.com/a:328ro3/MyAttachments/4c206fbc-0073-4ffe-8e84-4ffb1d8b2183/
The above file is for CR 2013 SP 2.0
The one I gave you before was for CR 2013 SP 2.0 patch 3. E.g.; if the CR 2013 SP 2.0 installs for you, you should also be able to then run the patch 3 - that would get you as current as things get. Please do let me know if this worked.
With apologies and many thanks,
- Ludek
Hi Ludek,
I have recently downloaded and installed Crystal Reports 2013 for Server 2012 R2 but the trial download is only SP1.
I eventually after several hours trying get it to load have got somewhere. It was missing a Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. Which means Crystal Reports has the worse installer known to man as any novice knows how to include these files. I had to trace through crash logs to work this out by the way, so the average person isn't going to know this.
Anyway it now loads shows the trial dialogue box and promptly crashes when I click ok.
After digging around the terrible support which included phoning sales to be transferred to support who wanted me to call a US number for actual support (UK based), and trying to use a chat session which is only open during US hours, I came across an article which you posted mentioning a link to a pdf which says only SP2 is compatible with Server 2012 R2. Even though the trial section makes out its just a "simple" install.
If I could find any other software that works with our legacy software and has WPF compatible development tools, I would pay multiple times the cost of Crystal Reports and happily jump ship, unfortunately I haven't found such software. Maybe I should make my own I could even offer support!
So after searching for a download for SP2 I eventually have to come to a forum to find a post hidden away where you have been so kind to single handily try and support a major piece of software from a giant in the software industry. (I personally don't know how you manage it all).
Enough with my ranting now, could you please refresh the link so I can even attempt to trial this latest abomination of a program?
Regards,
Shaun
Hi Shaun
First here is a link to an ftp container that has SP 2 for CR 1013:
Next, I want to apologize for the difficulties. I think your feedback is extremely valuable and I will make sure it is forwarded to the appropriate parties.

Hi Mike,
If you have access to the Server Market Place, you could log in to SMP and download from there.
I'm guessing Ludek Uher can help otherwise.

Hi Mike,
May be SP2 is under Ramp-up stage. Best way to get proper link, create a SAP support ticket.
