Swati,

The simple answer is NO.

The Previous function is a row based function and works well for a regular non aggregated table but in a cross tab the results are aggregated and the result of one row in cross tab is actually a combination of multiple rows.. So if you use this function it will not work are desired..

Hi Durga,

I have tested Previous function in crosstab and it's working well over aggregated data. As per my understanding we can use previous function over any value and there is no restriction.

Correct me If I'm wrong.

Hi ,

When i am using Previous() in crosstab i am not getting the previous value for first column. I have used in horizontal table and its work fine.

Please anyone can explain how it can be used in crosstab report.

Thanks

Hi Swati,

First column should be blank. Please post a screenshot of your report and formula you have written in the report.

Hi Swati,

When Previous() used in a crosstab, First value returned by previous will be blank and it does not treat the last value in a row as the previous value of the first value of the next row.

Eg:

                2004        Previous     2005      Previous

A              100                            150         100

B              250                            400         250

C              300                            225         300

Regards

Sunil
