Hi,
I installed a HANA instance on server where the write cache of the storage controller was disabled because of a faulty battery.
Now I have replaced the battery and surprisingly I see a lot of alerts like this:
Volume 3 (mysaphana:30107, type LOG, path /usr/sap/H02/SYS/global/hdb/log/mnt00001/hdb00003/) has trigger asynchronous write ratio 99%.
What does this mean ?
Should I disable the cache again ?
Regards
Volker

Hi Volker,
did you get a resolution for this? I have this since today after upgrading from Rev 68 to 70.

Marcus

Hi Marcus,
unfortunately I havent a resolution yet, but you raise an interesting point.
I also upgraded to Rev 70, so it might not be the storage controller but the HANA rev.
Maybe its a bug in Rev 70.
Have you experienced a performance loss because of those alerts ? Even if those alerts are annoying, I haven't experienced any negative impact.
Regards
Volker
