Dear,
I am not very familiar with NWDS which is currently being used by our client to develope the UI (WDJ) but the backend system they use is CRM 5.0. Now we need to upgrade the backend CRM system to 7.0 Ehp2. I am aware that there is WebUI technology to be used in CRM 7.0 version. But for some reason we need to remain in NWDS (because of specific business reason) for the UI designing.
So my question is if I need to upgrade CRM 7.0 then it would upgrade both the ABAP and Java stack. So what would be the impact with existing NWDS / already built UI layouts.
Currently the NWDS stands in 7.0 version for Java and planning to move into 7.3x.
Kindly suggest.
Thanks .
Hello
If you are going to EHP2 for the CRM system then check the master guide for more information.
https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001202542011E/crm_master_guide_ehp2.pdf
I could see that there is no automatic UI migration of customer specific UI's done during the upgrade.
You may also read the upgrade guide for more details.

Thakns Reagan for your retrun.
I will go through these guide for sure, but what specifically I am interested to know more is, if I upgrade CRM Java stack, (JCRM), whether any impact you can foresee in the UI part.
Because client did this UI design in NWDS platform and connecting CRM backend with JCo and calling wrapper RFCs built in SAP CRM.
Any suggestion is appreciable.
Thanks
