Does SAP Business Objects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office v. 1.4 sp4 work with Windows 8.1 x64 and Excel 2013 x32?

I have a user who uses the add-in SAP Business Objects
Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office.  The add-in will not show up in
Excel although it’s enabled.  He uses Office 2013 32 bit and Windows 8.1
64 bit OS.  I’ve installed the 32 bit version of the add-in.  The
version of the add-in is 1.4 sp4.  Can you tell me if this is compatible
with Windows 8.1 64 bit with Office 2013 32 bit?  It works fine with Win7
x64 and Office 2013 x32.

Hi,

Windows 8.1 x64 Office 2013 32 bit Supports AO. There should not be any problem.

I installed 1.4 SP7(1.4.7.3073) in same platform without any issue.

You had mentioned 1.4 SP4(I am not sure whether SP4 supports or not)

Currently latest patch 1.4 SP09  is available. I would suggest you to use the same.

I looked at the PAM for Analysis Office https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000429322013E

It doesn't list Windows 8.1 as being supported

Windows 7 and 8 are supported per the PAM

Is there any update available on SAP business object analysis for excel, i just bought a new laptop with windows 8.1.

Is there any workaround available?

According to the latest notes Analysis Office should work with 8.1 - be sure to download the latest release and patch
