EHP7 upgrade error during preprocessing (MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG) activate dependent search help

Hi Experts ,

I have encountred an error during preprocessing (MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG) phase  beow attached is the screenshot and html as txt file releated to error

Kindly help  to fix the error occured . do let me know if need to attach any logs

            3 EDO548XActivate dependent search help "H_AT30"

                1EEDH164 Types of search help param. "XFORMEL" and field of selection method incompatible

Is the above issue related to memory parameters ? I was thinking it's related to activation of objects

If yes , Is it recommended to restart sap when it was in pre-processing  phase .

Do let me know the right answer  above posted link to fix this issue .

Yes after setting necessary memory parameters we can restart the instances.For more please follow

Hi Gaurav ,

After setting the below parameters as mentioned in the note#1387739 same error encountered but the best part is last time errors were 12 now 10.. Do i need to re run again ?

Kindly advice

abap/heap_area_total = 10000000000

abap/heap_area_nondia = 10000000000

ztta/roll_area = 20000000

Checks after phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG were negative!

Last error code set: Detected 10 errors summarized in 'ACTUPG.ELG'<br/> Calling 'H:\SUM\abap\exe/tp' failed with return code 8, check H:\SUM\abap\log\SAPup.ECO for details<br/> tp used shadow connect

I would like to recommend one more SAP Note  1456978 - Search help can not be activated during upgrade or EHPI

Hi Mohan,

the SAPNote #1456978 - Search help can not be activated during upgrade or EHPI should solve this. The problem is that you could not import that mentioned transport U7AK915098.

So you have to correct this manually.

Log on client 000.

Start SE16 - table DDSHLPVERS

This table has 1 entry with a date. Change this date in debugging mode to the value date = date - 365 (2000/01/01).

Save this entry and restart the phase SHDRUN/ACT
