Where is he page size of an ALV Page designed?

Hello Peter,

What SAP_BASIS and Kernel are you using?

Depending on the version you are using - you may need to use the parameter: ~ALVCLIENTCELLTHRESHOLD

Useful notes

453940  ALV grid view: Context overflow with large lists

1706598  ALV grid view: Scrolling on the client and the server

Oisin

Hi Oisin,

thanks, but I like to change  ~ALVGRIDPAGESIZE during PAI. I need one screen (Dynpro) with 5 lines per Page and a second screen with 10 line per Page.

Peter

Hello Peter,

I do not know of a method on the ITS side of having this dynamic ALV functionality during the runtime of the transaction.

Hi Peter,

sorry for the late reply. The parameter ~ALVGRIDPAGESIZE can't be changed during runtime and when I get the right you asked for doing it during PAI in ABAP and that's also not possible. I'm not really sure what you're going to achieve. Wouldn't it be sufficient to set the visible rows to 5 for the first ALV and to 10 for the second?

Best regards,

Simon

Hi Simon,

yes, this is my scope

It there another parameter I can adjust? I think ~ALVGRIDPAGESIZE is the only one.

Can you give me a hint where you set the visible rows?

Hi Peter,

from my understanding you can only set the height of the Gridview and the number of visible rows is the result of the available space (height).

Simon

No, this height is ignored from ITSmobile.

Do you really talk about ITSmobile?

Hi Peter,

from how you wrote your question it was absolutely unclear for me that this topic is about ITS mobile. I was talking about SAP GUI for HTML.

WOW. You are right.

I didn’t mentioned it. I feel sorry about this.
