CMC page is downloading instead of opening

Hi Experts

I had just installed SAP IPS 4.1 in my server, when i am trying to open CMC page the page is downloading instead of opening. When i installed the same software in other server it is working fine. why it is not opening the page, what are the steps i have to follow.  Even the tomcat server is also running fine and tried by restarting it also, but the page is not opening it is downloading

Please help it is very needed for me

What do you mean by downloading? Didn't catch that part.

Can you upload a screenshot or something?

As I've never seen this with SAP BI4.1 CMC

Hi Prasannakumar,

1.  Are you accessing the link from server or from client machine? If from client machine then give the appserver name instead of localhost.

2. Can you also try using IE or Firefox to see if you are getting the same behaviour?

Ya i am accessing from server only and i also tried with different browsers every where i am getting a file downloading

Hi,

I would suggest:

1. Stop Tomcat

2. Clean tomcat temp files

3. Go to CMD and type following

D:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\wdeploy>wdeploy tomcat7 validateconfig

Note: Change this value to tomcat6 if you are using Tomcat v6

4. Run the command

5. You should get 'BUILD SUCCESSFUL' message. if yes then proceed with below steps

6. Redeploy all WAR files

7. Start tomcat

8. Retry the link

Also, try accessing http://appserver:8080\BOE\BI and see what happens.

Hi Nikhil

I tried with your steps but when i am executing C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\wdeploy\tomcat7.xml, XML file is not execuing in the browser it showing error.

and when i am opening CMC in IE it is showing errors as

please suggest me, what i have to do know!
