ESS WDA Personal profile add explanation text

Hi,

Our requirement is to add explanation text to the detailed screens of personal profile wda app. I tried this with personalization and WDA OVP configuration options, but with no success. Is there any way we can do this?

you can try using Quick help Explanation will appear only when Quick Help is on. Please note that in the screenshot below, Explanation Document field takes the SE61 general text object name. Whereas Expl. Text field takes free text & OTR name from EHP6 onwards... To activate this right click on the Webdynpro application and choose display quick help from context menu then the text will be displayed. How to keep the quick help turned on for all users and never go off? I think the user should turn the quick help on to see these messages, right?

another question on the screen you shared. How to get the buttons ordered one after the other instead of a dropdown for infotype subtypes?

it ll be turned on, once you enable this at application config level, its there in the help above. you can however hide it if you want
