Hi IDM Gurus!

Just wondering, has anyone tried deploying the RDS for IDM where the back end database is DB2? Can I just use the Oracle SQL script?

Thanks,

Matt

Haven't tried it on DB2.  I do remember that there was some database specific stuff in a few of the items but I think they were 'Oracle' specific as I was on MSSQL at the time and had to change things.  Might be worth keeping your eye on it though.

There's some things to update regardless of DB.  I know the DB2 and Oracle implementations are pretty close in form.  I'm just wondering if they are close enough that I can just use the Oracle scripts on DB2.

Yeah, I've had to play around with some of the scripts as well if they ask for a check of %ddm.databasetype%

1=SQL -- No surprise there

2=Oracle -- Ok, makes sense

What do you think DB2 would be?

If you said 3, you'd be wrong, it's actually 5.  I just had to laugh.

But I got the recon report working and that was the important thing as far as using the RDS goes.
