SAP BPC 10 MS Connection to BO 4 WEBI

Hello experts,

I'm trying to configure a connection between my SAP BPC 10 MS (SP12) and  BO4, using WEBI and I'm having issues.

I have followed the described steps (by John Leggio on ) and executed with sucess until report creation:

" http://<IP_Address_BPC_APPServer>/XMLA/XmlaWebService.asmx

After you get the XMLA provider working  you'll need to:

Create a local project in IDT

Connect to the CMC repository where you created the BPC 7.5 OLAP connection

Create an OLAP connection shortcut and assign it to the local project

Create a business layer (BLX) and choose the OLAP Connection shortcut

Publish the BLX to the CMC repository

Create reports referencing this new UNX (BLX) "

My problem is with the report creation: Create reports referencing this new UNX (BLX).

When I build my report it behaves in 2 ways (both wrong):

1. I filter my dimension values to few members, and the report returns NULL values;

2. If I choose many members, the server colapses and doesn't return results;

For option 1, is this normal?? Supposly it should return fewer values, right?

Has anyone achieved to acomplish this connection? I have found many forums and didn't found anybody who could do this.

My collegue as also posted the issue on .

Could you please help me please?

Best regards,

Raquel Oliveira

Hi Raquel
Have you tried to drag in SIGNEDDATA in the report too?
BPC data exist in that measure.

Hi Raquel!

Then I dont know what might be wrong, if you have access to the Analysis server directly then you can try to find the combinations where you have data in there and make the same filtering in the WEBI report to see if it might help.

Another option is to make a SQL conneciton (instead of OLAP)  directly to the BPC cube and build your own BLX, that way it will work.
