Hi,

you can use the SUM with DMO option as already mentioned or do this tasks by yourself using TX STC01 after the upgrade to 740.

You should already consider the changed memory management in NW740:

1864189 - Memory Management in 7.40

Read all the central and database specific notes for 740. In the NW740 upgrade guides you will find also the reference to the ASU tools box, but not all steps are up to date and may be already covered by TX STC01.

Search and implement all needed notes which are released for SPS7 and higher to ensure that you have the real latest version of all fixes via TX SNOTE.

Verify that you have the latest kernel files incl. fixes. Check also via HLM (Hana Lifecycle Manager) the latest patches for HANA.

Jens

Hi,

See also the Information from the BW ALM Page - http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7856#section12

The database migration option (DMO within the SUM framework makes manually created pre and post activities almost obsolete, as they are included within the procedure.

The Procedure is described in detail here - SAP First Guidance - Migration BW on HANA using the DMO option in SUM
