         We are update ERP 6.0 to EHP 7.

we are in step preprocessing and we received the following error as attached.

We are do the following:-

To find terminated or unresolved updates, proceed as follows

1. Call transaction SM13.
2. Delete the default values for the client, user, and time.
3. Select all the update requests and clear them.

Also: Run the program RSM13002. For this purpose, set the parameter REORG to 'X'.

To find unresolved outbound queue RFC calls, proceed as follows:

1. Call transaction SMQ1.
2. Delete the default values for the client.
3. Make sure that the list of outbound queue RFC calls is empty.

Execute report RMCEX_SETUP_ENTRIES

after we do that we try to repeat this step but we received error as in the log attached.

Kindly aid us ASAP.

Hi Shepl,

Connect to the the SAP system and call Tx SMQ1 and check the MCEX queues for a particular client.

I suggest to process the queues using the Tx LBWE on the client for the approriate application number

Eg : for MCEX02 you need to use the number 02 for Purchasing as 02 is the application number for that.

Here you will select the "Job Control" and start the job.

Once the job is finished you can check Tx SMQ1 to see whether they are gone.

You need to do for all the MCEX queues in LBWE

If they are still present then it is due to some blocking queue entries.

So run the report RMCEXCHK and check the logs. If the logs show that there are setup tables then you will have to delete them using the Tx LBWG

If you check the logs you may find below information

What to do

<DS:TRAN.LBWG>Delete<> the entries for all restructure tables for application &V#&. ( mention here the structure application number in the logs which you shared above )

Start transaction LBWG and empty the BW delta queues. Check with your BW developer, that the data isn't needed any more.

Follow these steps and retry the upgrade step.

Do you see any update requests in Tx SM13 ?

Check for updates starting from last year and with a future date.

Call Tx LBWE and process setup tables 02, 11, 12 and 13.

If there are errors shown then call Tx LBWG and delete the contents.

Cross check with the application team before you process.

As you are still in per-processsing step and the system is live, I would suggest ignore this and continue. The upgrade tool will stop again to process the old update records during the execution step. Refer
