I noticed recently in one of our systems that Workload statistics stopped displaying the latest data. Here is the system in our landscape:
ECC 6.0 EhP6 SP05
Oracle 11.2.0.2
HP-UX B.11.31 U
Things I've Checked:
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR is running every hour and job log is not reporting errors
SWNCMONI contains entries for the most recent data (i.e. today)
Time Zone checks (TZONECHECK, TZCUSTHELP) report no issues
SAPOSCOL is running
TCOLL contains the correct entries
In ST03N "Overview of instances and last analysis data" the Last Measurement time is not updating to the last time SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR was run. That is, the Last Measurement time and therefore, the Workload statistics data goes up to a few days ago. However, if I run reports SWNCCOLL and SWNCTOTAL in SE38, I am able to see the latest data in ST03N.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to how this can be resolved?
Problem Resolved.
Hint: 1300273 - SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR: New architecture as of 7.20
The system was scheduling additional background jobs so even if SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR ran successfully, the other background jobs need to be checked. The job was executed under a dialog user (bad practice) which did not have the authorization to release jobs. By switching the user to a dedicated batch processing user, we were able to get statistics to show up.
