Unable to create BIA Index on InfoCubes

Dear Experts / Guru's,

We are facing issues in creation of BIA Index on InfoCubes. When trying to create the BIA / BWA index on the cube the screen is getting 'freezed / hanged' and is not responding.

We tried to open the transaction code RSDDBIAMON2 but even that transaction is taking more than an hour to even open. We noticed a considerable degradation in the reports performance as well. In RSRV transaction code when we executed 'Size of Delta Indexes check' , it is not giving any result. It just hangs.

We have approached Basis team for help to check if there are any technical issues, but even they are unable to diagnose what the issue is. Can you please throw some light on this. Thanks a lot in advance !

Hi ,

I would recommned to check first the index server in TREXADMIN . If it is up then  check whether all blades are active. If thats the case you can try on  small infocube  , index delete and create for  simulation.

If you can create the index on the  small infocube then i would suggest you to check the job log for index creation.It would highlight some issues.

Looks like you are facing some connection issues, please review notes below, and restart your BWA, recreate the RFC connections, verify the hardware and network.
