What do you want from SAP Data Services?  Which functionality still missed (by your opinion)?

I want my old Data Quality data dictionary and rules files back.

The current implementation in Information Steward is painfully slow to update, and will crash any job pointing to an updating cleansing package.  

We used to make data dictionary changes on a near daily basis, now ... it is so prohibitively slow, we don't even bother.    (I would say more but I'm trying to be as nice as possible)

Only thing missing is Rapid marts.SAP has  released last  Rapid marts in 4.0 and that too the support for Rapid mart has ended last December 2013. After that we don't have any major release.

If SAP release rapid marts in BODS 4.1 or 4.2 application it would have been a win win solution for mid size companies at a least time efforts.

We are working on trying to get the RM's supported through DS 4.2 and BI 4.1.  There is a firm called Datalytics Technologies who will be picking up RM's and investing in them (and supporting them) going forward.

SAP has withdrawn Rapid Marts and will not renew maintenance support.  As Bert Laws from SAP stated, Datalytics Technologies will continue to sell, support and enhance Rapid Marts.  These enhancements will include DS 4.2 / BI 4.1 integration.

Customers using Rapid Marts should contact Doug Corpuel at Datalytics (203.271.5604, dcorpuel@datalyticstechnologies.com) for more information and to ensure a Datalytics Maintenance Agreement is in place so there is no lapse in support.

    more  than 90% of big data will be stored in IQ - so fast (parallelized writing and reading) - necessary.
