What & How to publish SAP WPB on WebServer?

Hello,

I'm read the various documentations related to SAP WPB Producer, Instant Producer and Manager.  I understand that it is possible to publish the Producer recording on a webserver and WPB Manager is not mandatory.

However I'm not sure which files to publish to achieve this.  The recording folder contains many sub-folders with screen shots and some javascript files.

Do anyone has pointers on how to achieve this or links to documentation?

Warm Regards,

Sumith

Hi Sumith

The correct answer is dependence what you like to show:

You can publish single recordings, documents or the whole Library.

Its all about your requirements.

When you publish Simulations you have to make sure all resources are published too.

I will point out, each of the Objects e.g. Groups, Simulations and Documentation have UID,

This UID is related to the folder names in the file system.

The Playback for e.g.  simulation shown in that way:

http://www.mywebserver/index.html?show=project!PR_30C615CAE9F25F90:demo

Means, the index.html are able to interpret the variables with the UID

When you have the correct Prefix in the producer you can get this URL directly from the producer.

Hi Tom,

All the recordings that I have created are under 'Unsorted' folder.  They are not under the 'WorkArea' folder.

When I access the index.html, it is blank.

How do I 'assign' or move recordings from 'Unsorted' to the 'WorkArea' folder?

Thanks & Regards,

Sumith

Hi Sumith,

copy / Cut and Paste will work also Drag and Drop..

but keep in mind for just playback simulations it is not necessary to move this from unsorted.

When you use copy, i get the next question

The library is hugh and there much more functionality as you believe.

The product is not fully intuitive and there are different status of content preparation that has to be set or enabled.

Once that is done, one can edit and assign content and publish the workarea folder in any webserver as they are basically HTML & JavaScript code.

Thanks for the hints & pointers.
