Hello Gurus,

I am unable to attach any objects to a DIR  from the PLM WEB UI screen I get a error " MARA does not exist".But for the same document(DIR) I can attach objects through ECC. I am able to view objects attached through ECC in the PLM Web UI.

Is there a config step to enable this link?

Kindly advice

Thanks & Regards

Jo

Hi Jo,

Please check the following customizing for your Document Type:

Logistics - General - Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) - Document Management - Control Data - Define Document Types

Define document types: Select your document type

Define object links

The following objects should be added:

Object          Screen number

MARA          201

You can also check the help for the checkboxes (1:n ratio, Additional Functions etc.)

You can also check the following BAdI if you need to assign different objects:

Logistics - General - Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) - PLM Web User Interface - Objects in PLM Web UI - Document in PLM Web UI - BAdI: Enrich Object Link Information

You can also check the following FAQ note:

1819440 - Understanding PLM WUI Documents and SAP DMS (FAQs)

Thank you Tamas,

The objects are added

Object          Screen number

MARA          201

I checked the 1:n ratio & Additional functions and still the same error"Object MARA does not exist" and would not allow me to save the DIR.The weird thing is that it works perfectly fine in ERP but not in the PLM Web UI screen.

And other thing is that when I select Material Master as my object link, I am able to see all my Material Masters but not able to attach any. I am able to view the material masters that are linked through ERP in the PLM Web UI

Just wanted to know if there is a config step that needs to be enabled for PLM WEB UI.

Thanks & Regards

Jo

Hi Tamas,

I tried Implementing the note 1977811 - PLM WUI DMS: Error messages appear after successful check-in of originals in DIR

But there are more notes that are included in it and has a lot of manual corrections involved for all the notes involved in it.Is the only way to implement the note?

Kindly advice.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Tamas,

Is there a procedure for implementing this Note.

In one OSS notes its mentioned to create a Message without long text and in another it says to click on long text which is kind off confusing.

Please do let me know if there are any procedure for this or if we upgrade to SP4 will this issue get resolved.

Kindly advice.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Jo,

you need developer authorization to do that.

SP4 does not contain this correction I think.

You can check on service.sap.com. As I have seen EhP6 SP12 contains this.

Tamas,

We are using EhP7 SP02. So I was thinking if we upgrade to SP4 might work?

I will check in service.sap.com. But if you get any other information.

Kindly do let me know.

Thank you very much for your guidance.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Jo,

I just checked. The EhP67 SP04 contains the note. So if you upgrade then it will be "implemented automatically" with the SP.

Awesome Tamaz,

I will have it implemented.Thank you very much.

I was also  looking in marketplace, there are two SP's that are available  PLMWUI 747:SP 0005 and PLMWUI 747:SP 0004.

Do you recommend to latest or implement just SP4.

Sorry for asking to many questions Tamaz

Thanks & Regards

Jo
