Dear experts,


since our upgrade in portal to 7.30 SP09 our customers are getting an warning in UWL:

An error occured while trying to connect to the provider


In our case this is just a warning. Connections are working fine. We are using two systems for workflows, xP1 and xP2.

This warning only appears if the user isn´t available in one of the two systems. So this is just a information.

Can somebody tell me where to disable that type of warning?

In NWA I get the following warnings:

com.sap.security.api.NoSuchUserException: User " " does not exist

Hi Mario,

You can turn these warnings off easily via the UWL iView:

If you access the UWL iView from the PCD:
PCD   > Portal Content   > Content Provided by SAP   > End user Content
  > Standard Portal User   > iViews   > com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.iviews
  > Universal worklist.

If you are using a different UWL iView, for example one provided by the ESS/MSS application you will have to turn it off from this iView instead.

From here open the iView properties and set the property
'Display Connection Status' to 'None'.
