Error Connecting Tableau to BW

I am trying to connect tableau to bw and keep getting the following error message:

The drivers necessary to connect to this database server are not properly installed.  Visit http://www.tableausoftware.com/drivers to download driver setup files. [I am unable to download anything from SAP service market ( I have restricted S-number)]

Database error 0x80040154: Class not registered.

Upon researching, I found out that SAP GUI version has to be 7.2 or newer to avoid this error. I still keep getting the same error even with GUI 7.2.

Can some one help?

Hello Gulshan,

This seems to ODBC / OLE DB related Error . Have you checked with your BASIS team on this .

Thanks Yogesh for your reply. I have monthly subscription to the SAP access. So I think I need to check with the access provider. Right? .

Hello Gulshan,

Yes, It is better to get in touch with your access provider ! They will identify & explain you the root cause and provide a suitable fix for the same .
