Hi Experts,

We have a new requirement. Client is asking to send spool in x.ls format instead of txt format via mail. Is there any possibility to send spool request in .xls format from SAP CPS?

Rajkumar

You can set the default output format of that job definition to CSV as shown below and the reschedule the job.

Hi Nanda,

Thanks for you Guidance. If CSV is selected it is not opening in Excel but opening in notepad only. I tried with Excelsheet option then it is working.

Hi Raj. What support pack is your R3 system on? We were trying to meet this requirement as well but the related OSS notes were not applicable because of our support pack. Just wondering what SP level you are on. Thanks.

when you try to open a CSV in excel it will ask you whether or not to open and it might even give options to choose which are column separating values and such.

Can you please provide me a screenshot on what happens when you try to open the CSV in Excel?

thanks

Hi Nanda,

Even after providing value CSV in default output format, the file is being generated with .txt only not in CSV. The I tried with Excelsheet it worked and produced spool file with .xls format.
