Worklist generation (UDM_SPECIALIST) working slow

Hi All,

I am using UDM_SPECIALIST TCode. It is taking a long time to populate the report. It used to work fine earlier for same business partner having same number of line items. Anybody knows why this Tcode is behaving like this?

Hi,

If UDM_SPECIALIST takes a longer time then I presume that UDM_SUPERVISOR must be taking even longer, right? Pl.check.

It could be that there are performance issues with the system as a whole- few jobs might be running in background consuming lot of memory causing system slowness.

Just try to see if other regular t.codes also take long time to execute which will confirm the above reason.

Also, you can observe UDM_SPECIALIST for couple of days, if there are issues with only this t.code.

The problem is with this TCode only.

Does anybody know from where it picks up data? Does it pick from any table or generate it at runtime?

The point is that transaction UDM_SPECIALIST is unique to the user running it, so you have no selection options at all.

To resolve this issue, do the following:

  1. Are you running the transaction with your own user ID? If yes, can you check the tables of specialist assignments to BPs to see how many BPs are assigned to this user ID. It could be that too many BPs are assigned to a single specialist, hence the time it is taking.
  2. Get other specialists who have BPs assigned to run the transaction with their own user IDs and compare the time taken.
  3. Try and delete all worklist if the steps 1 and 2 above does not solve the problem. then generate the worklist again for selected customers or selected collection segment  (those with few items), then display worklist again, and compare the time it takes.

I believe by the time you do the 3 steps above, you should know if the problem is caused by volume of worklist items, or if it is specific to a particular user ID.

Can you please allow it to run and check if it gives Dump - Time out error.

or try to give specific collection group  in search criteria and check

Hi Fisayo,

I am using UDM_SPECIALIST for only 1 BP. This particular BP has lot of open items. This TCode is slow because of lot of open items.

Can something be done to make it fast?
