SAP BFC - Import Manual Journal Entries

Dear colleagues,

I am importing manual central journal entries using a flat file.

However, when I try to import an incorrect journal entry i.e. wrong breakdown as per defined dimensional analyse in the category builder, the system doesn't provide any detailed log (e.g. no information about missing breakdown) and saves an "empty" journal entry with new number.

Has anyone experienced this behaviour (no log, empty entry)?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards,

Thibaud

Hi Rachid,

I think you can easily reproduce the case. On your platform, upload a basic manual journal entry that includes at least one anlysis dimension. And for this analysis dimension, use an incorrect value.

Thanks!

Hello,

Would you please provide us with the following points :

  • Did you get an error message in the import wizard
  • If  The header is created (based on Reporting ID, and ledger)

Hi Soumaya,

  • In the Wizzard, I have "generated file containing the rejected data": is it the only way to get a log?
  • Not sure to understand the question - But yes, the journal is applicable to a specific Reporting Unit and Ledger

My question is more: is it normal that the system generates an empty journal?

Thibaud
