Data Services 4.2 and BusinessObjects

Hi All,

I am currently looking at the SAP Help Portal page for Data Services 4.2 and I noticed that it no longer includes the "BusinessObjects" brand on its name.

So is DS no longer part of the BusinessObjects brand?

Ron,

My understanding is that because SAP acquired the Business Objects company and products, it is re-branding the products in the suite.

So we now has SAP Data Services, and SAP Information Steward (no longer BODS or BOIS).

Remember, Business Objects is owned by SAP.

Thanks for the reply.

So I guess it's SAP Data Services now or SDS (?)  (will hopefully not be confused with Strategic Data Solutions or Safety Data Sheets).

I was just curious as the BI Platform retains the "BusinessObjects" brand, which I guess would be less confusing since I'm assuming the BusinessObjects will purely mean "front-end".

All the products are acquired by SAP.whether its EPM, EIM or reporting toll.
