HR Renewal in EHP 7

Hi,

I have a doubt about HR Renewal. We are on EHP 7.

We have done some personalizations in ess mss roles in portal and BADI enhancements in r/3.

In portal we have copied the standard ESS MSS role and personalized them.

Now if we apply HR Renewal, what will be the impacts?

Will it overwrite the standard ESS MSS portal role? (in my case it is not a problem as I have copied)

Will it have any impacts on r/3 side on the BADI enhancements?

Also can we directly go for HR Renewal 2.0 in EhP 7?

There is no license fee for HR renewal but for Fiori apps separately. ALso reach out to your account executive also.

HR ren is included in SAP HCM license (ess/mss).

Custom developments (badi implementation) are not impacted

Hello All,

I am planning to implement HR Renewal in ERP 6.0 EHP7 landscape where SAP HR & EA HR are in EHP7 levels, I believe the Netweaver gateway 740 and SAP UI 740 are enough to implement HR Renewal 1.0 FP 3 Mass hiring or do we have to install any additional gateway and UI components?

I am planing to go for the local gateway option, please share your responses.

Hi Arindam,

I think you can directly go to HR Renewal 2.0 but as technical pre-requisite, HR Renewal components need to be loaded.

If there is any custom copy of what you have created, it should not be impacted. As older version content will remain intact. As you switch on the functionality, be mindful of which version of services you wanted to use and retrofit what requires to be added to your custom roles.
