Dear all,

I have a doubt, and sure some good experts could confirm.

While restoring bpc environnement using the server manager, it recreates a new environnement, right ?

That it suppresses the environnement of the same name by replacing the old one of the same name ?

Tks for your help,

Hi Olivia,

I am unable to check it now. However, I believe it will not let you restore a new environment with the same name as an existing one. If you need to, then you need to delete the older one.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nilanjan,

Yes, In the old version it was the case you mention.

It seems that it changes with the newer version.

Just want to confirm that point by others experts

Many thanks,

Hi Olivia,

restore would overwrite SQL and SSAS databases, but I think it merges an existing folder structure with the one from restore. To play safe, I'd delete an existing AppSet prior to restore.

regards,

Akim
