Using BODS ver 14.1.1.210. Repository on Oracle 11g.
It was working fine until couple of days back. After i imported a whole lot of jobs (1200) the designer went ridiculously slow. It took probably more than an hour to come up.
In the repository AL_LANG table, there are about 5500 entries. There does not seem to be any DB stats run on the table in a long time. Don't know if that would help.
How many jobs in the repo does the designer handle without significant slow down? What can be done to improve the performance?
Please advise...
Hi Sreedhar,
1-Please use Compact Repository option into Local repository.( BODS version 3.2)
2- Please increase Pageable cache from Jobserver.
3- Please confirm you have sufficient hardware/network resources.
Please update the thread.

Shiva Sahu

Checked AL_HISTORY AND AL_STATISTICS and had no issue with them.
Will check on applying the patch and let you know.
Thank you 🙂

Hello Sreedhar,
1) Tune your repository DB server.
2) Tune the network
3) Tune the OS
first try for DB server side..

Hi Sreedhar,
Would like to know how often the BODS admin follow maintenance methodology.I would suggest to restart the appplication once at OS level and try again. Since it is backed by tomcat application(Java) servers. It might have some issues related to Heap size memory.
Try it and let us know the results.
