Hi,

LCM will be part of you installation, you can find the same in CMC---PROMOTION MANAGEMENT.

Auditing: you can configure auditing while installing or after installation refer the below document for the same.

I have lcbiar file which conatins Audit universe and sample audit reports which i need to extract it into Auditing folder in CMC.

For that i need to use the following command to extract it

Run <BOE_install_folder>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\scripts>lcm_cli.bat -lcmproperty <properties_folder_path>\auditing.properties

But LCM is not installed in our BO environment. Do i need to install LCM before running running the above command?

As of BI 4.0 w/ SP4 LCM has been renamed to Promotion Manager, it now part of the base install.   if you did a proper base install of BI 4.1 Promotion Manager will automatically be installed.

Login into the CMC you will see something called Promotion Manager on the right side.

Hi,

Promotion Management would be required to perform web-based or command line LCMBIAR import or export.

Before you start to run LCMBIAR import via BI4.1 Promotion Mgmt command line, you might need to configure

1. AdaptiveJobServer

- add Max. Heapspace to 8GB

-javaargs "Dbusinessobjects.connectivity.directory=E:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0//dataAccess/connectionServer,Dcom.businessobjects.mds.cs.ImplementationID=csEX,Djava.awt.headless=true,Xmx8g,XX:MaxPermSize=192m"

2. APS.LCM

My take is that it should be at least 2 GB.

See SAP BO KB 1969259 - LCM CLI Master Note - How to promote thousands of objects across BI4 environments? on http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1969259

Otherwise, you may experience a long delay as the AJS needs a large Java heap space to complete the LCMBIAR import.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

LCM is part of the base install of BI 4.1. You need to go to CMC-->Auditing to update the Audit datasource information.

Hope it helps.

You can find the sample Audit UNX and sample Crystal Reports, see link below.

For more information on the Audit Database you can see the Admin Guide.
