Hi All,
I have basic question, In our current landscape, we have 1 TREX server. The TREX is connected to 3 different servers, ie, Sandbox, Development & MDG. Does TREX support such landscape? ie, connecting to different servers? Does it require different type of TREX installation?
Thanks,
Ashwini Jaokar
Hi Ashwini,
yes, such installation is supported, as soon as the TREX can get enough resources (CPU,memory, disk space) to handle requests from all connected systems at the same time, as well as all ABAP instances have different SIDs. For the Enterprise Portal scenario such installation isn't recommended as it's not possible to create an index several times with the same name (f.e. if you created an index named test in the Dev Portal , you can not create the same in the Sandbox ).
Best regards,
Mikhail
