Hi Experts

We have a requirement to add a spell check to the Notes in SAP MDG. Is this possible and has anyone done/added this before?

Any suggestions on adding this?

Regards

Danie

Hello Danie

Its possible. Add spell check in settings and system will throw the red mark - see attachment.

Hello Andreas

Try this -

1. Open IE

2. In the menu bar click on Tools - Tracking Protection

3. Select Spelling Corrections

4. There are multiple languages - Click on English (United states)

5. Below there is a box - Enable spelling correction. Click on it. Save and try.

Hi Danie,

what process do you want to support? Is it to enable the person just entering the note to see misspelt 😉 words?

Maybe like this?

Danie,

Using Chrome it worked right away for me. However, it does not work for me using Internet Explorer or Firefox - though the spellcheck is available in plain HTML forms, but not in Web Dynpro.

Does anybody know how to enable the spellcheck in Internet Explorer for WebDynpro?

Hello Danie,

We have not implemented this but however I can think of below options. As you are handling NOTES content which is based on FPM and Feeder Classes, I can think of below options for you.

1. Develop or use existing function module (LXE_SP_CHECKSPELLING_MS), have it called from a custom button on Notes header and do the work for you. Can have some complexity.

2. Use third party Add-On on your Internet explorer or your browser a spell checker..Could be easiest option : )

Thanks
Praveen.
