Hi Experts !
I have this SRM system where everything was fine till 2 days back.
Now; all of a sudden, SLDCHECK fails to launch the sld & gives the below message instead:
Message no. LCR005
The system cannot establish an HTTP connection to the Landscape Directory, because it does not recognize the corresponding server address.
Check that a valid primary Landscape Directory server address is entered in the Exchange Infrastructure configuration.
SLDAPICUST, RZ70 & SAPSLDAPI all work great.
If I maintain the SLD details in Tcode LCRSERVADDR, SLDCHECK works...but since this Tcode should ideally stay empty, I don't wish to populate it....please help
Thanks a ton !
saba.
Saba,
I have the same situation when using a newer ABAP Stack with SAP PI 7.4 AEX. When you have the option to maintain a HTTP Destination in SLDAPICUST this and specifying SAP_PROXY_ESR should suffice on configuration. But when you delete SAPSLDAPI / LCRSAPRFC I'm getting the error you mentioned.
Did you find a solution to this / did you resolve this?
Many thanks
Cheers
Jens

Oh, there seems to be a note correcting this behavior when using HTTP destination. see here http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2066093

Thank you Saba Sheikhand Jens Schwendemann,
This thread helped me to solve the same issue I was getting.
Best regards,

Hi Saba
1. Could you ping the SLD Server where you are check the transaction SLDCheck?
2. Try to add the local host or DNS enter on OS level
3 Refer the SAP Notes 768452 - Troubleshooting SLDCHECK - Releases 640, 70X
