Pre-loading of distance buffer

Dear TM experts,

The standard distance determination strategy is set up to look up the buffer before making an external call. We are using Milemaker as our GIS provider. I'm assuming this buffer would work with external provider too. In this case, is it possible to pre-load the buffer with offline results from Milemaker? We have most commonly used location pairs so we could use Milemaker front end to get all the data we need. If we can preload the buffer with this results, we are hoping to get good performance from day 1 of go-live. Could someone provide high level steps to achieve this?

Sure, you can use report /SCMB/DDD_BUFFER_MAINT.

I think this is exactly the goal of the report /SCMB/DDD_BUFFER_MAINT...Am I right Marcus?

Yes, it is. There is also another report enabling to pre-fill the buffer for example within your test system and then to transport the complete buffer at once into production to not stress this system to much (/SCMB/DDD_BUFFER_TRANSFER). To housekeep the buffer use /SCMB/DDD_BUFFER_CLEANUP.
