Hi All,
I am trying to pull the data from bex-query to web-i (4.0). Here for free charecterstics, need i have to create variables in web-i ?
or can i use it as well ? which is the best practice.

you need to post this kind of issues in SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence
You can use it here , Its purely depending on business needs , we will create variable only when default values are not matching businees needs.
