Hi Pardha,
Hope you are doing good.
Along with SAP Note 1753749
that Kamil mentioned, also do:
1)
set the value of ICM parameter icm/max_conn to 16384 in SAP system profile then restart the system.. Also see note 737625.
2)
The next step is to ensure that the user <sid>adm has unlimited ulimits at os level. This will allow it to take as much memory as needed to create the pipes.
3)
Apply SAP Note No. 1635058.
Thank you and have a nice day :).

Hi Pardha,
All info on the last query about ICM cache can be obtained here:
https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/1ef7f8c26a4e73e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
Basically the server performance of equest handling will be more fast if the cache is cleared. There is also a very important parameter to consider:icm/HTTP/server_cache_0/max_entries in this regard:
Thank you and have a nice day :).

Hi Pardha,
Hope you are doing good.
It is clear that the system connection (with alias: SAP_ECC_HumanResources) is not working.
Please check if the system connection is fine. You can get step by step details is:

Hi venkat,
You will need to set the parameters that were mentioned in my earlier 2 posts on the instance profile. This is a BASIS task. Once this change is done and the engine restarted, you can monitor the ICM server cache using the Web administration interface or the ICM monitor (/nSMICM in AS ABAP). The parameters are:
icm/max_conn
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<x>/max_entries
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>/size_MB
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>/memory_size_MB
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<x>/max_entries
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>/clear
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>/expiration
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>/max_name_len
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>/max_ufo_entries
icm/HTTP/server_cache_<xx>/ufo_expiration
Not all of them are needed. Basis needs to take a decision based on the SAP system landscape that you have.

One more issue Regarding Ume.
In My project some Dialogue Users also their..When They changing their ecc password it was not reflecting to portal password. what i have do now.
In my portal Ume Datasource is portal database only.
Database: DatabaseOnly
If I change this to abap system..any chance to solve the problem..if i changed this what aboutt portal data.I lose that and is their effect to SSO.
Please Do needful.
Regards,
Pardhu.
Hi guys,
Sorry but I do not understand the question. If the portal has the UME as the local DB, then the users are stored in the JAVA database; then it does not matter if you change any user master data in the ABAP engine.
However, if the UME is an R/3 server, the users are stored in the abap schema of the database and once you change the password in the portal, the users should be able to login to the portal with that changed password.
If you wish to change the UME parameters/ UME data, please see :
As this is a different issue, I feel the best would be to close this thread and open a new one with teh latest error and we can take this forward.
Kind regards,

Hello,
try to look at this SAP Note 1753749 - Cannot clear ICM server cache. It is about setting one parameter in the instance profile.
Also look at this document to get more knowledge about the situation ICM Server Cache (SAP Library - Internet Communication Manager (ICM))
By the way, please, next time put relevant name of thread into the heading title. Thank you
Hope it helps, kind regards
