Hi

when i am doing the posting to the FI ,system show me the error

Account 620025 requires an assignment to a CO object

Message no. KI235

Diagnosis

You have not defined a CO account assignment for an account that is relevant to cost accounting.

System Response

Account 620025 is defined as a cost element.
This means that you must always specify a CO account assignment.

after lots of R&D

we find that the employees whose cost center link to business area 0002 is having this error

can any one tell me what is the problem with BA

Enter one of the following CO account assignments

• Order

• Cost center / cost center/ activity type

• Sales order item (for a project or cost relevant)

• Project / WBS element

• Cost object (Process manufacturing)

• Network/ Network activities

• Business process

• Profitability segment

• Real estate object

The posting row affected is 001, account 620025.

Hi,

Please tell to FI person to maintian cost center for the a/c  620025 it will solve the problem if they use posting with cost center else maintian wbs at cost element level.

Hello Ramen,

this change will make all posting on this Cost element to be on the same Cost center, I dont think this is the requirement.

The cost center to be used is the one linked to Employees

Hello Nutan,

Just to get a better view of your issue,

Do the posting can be made if you use other CO objects (Internal order, WBS) ?

what exacty the posting your are making ? is it directly in FI , or in PA  (as you are mentioning employees )

I am doing posting using pc00_m99_cipe. posting of employee salary.Yes if i change the cost center of the employee which is link to different business area , sytem shows no error.

this problem is coming in this month only . actually we transported some request having FI work . after transport, we had found the error in FI posting of employee

Ok, is there is a substitution rule that impact the cost center, or it can not find the correct cost center based on internal tables or  rules so the postings ends up with no cost center

I have no idea about the substitution rule  as I am not FI consultant .

if u can suggest where can be a problem . please let me now .

Please chek Tcode GGB1 at Line item level

Please do not update the substitution rule if not necessary (even in Test system.)
