Hello BPC Experts

We have a requirement to prepare Segment reporting in SAP BPC 10.0 NW

The reporting structure is displayed as below:

If we select the period ended 31st Dec, we should get the values based on below columns viz:

1. Current qtr ending 31st Dec

2. Current period last qtr

3. Last qtr of previous period

4. YTD of Current qtr (9 months0

5. YTD of Previous qtr

6. Previus yr ended 31st Mar 2013

Has anyone worked on such requirement.

Any suggestions on this will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,

There is nothing special with your requirements. TIME dimension has to be properly configured to support Apr-Mar fiscal year. The rest is simple, try yourself (2 dimensions in column axis TIME and MEASURES).

Hi Sanjeev,

Not sure that this very old document (2008) for BPC MS version 7 will be helpful...

Too many things changed!

Hi Vadim, i'm facing the requirement like this case, and i'm trying to find some prop solution.

Requirement:

  • 2 Fiscal period needed: 1st Jan. -- 31th Dec. and 1st Apr. -- 31th Mar. in the same time;
  • Special period (13-16) activated in ECC;
  • parallel ledger activated for 2 accounting principle.

the preliminary solution is using two categories (version) to store those 2 ECC ledger (0L/1L)

Any suggestion in this case, esp for category and time dimension configurations, thanks in advanced!

Hi Vadim, appreciate you quick responding.

it seems to leverage a new dimension (user defined) to store and distinguish normal period (1-12) and special period (13-16).

And fiscal period in BPC should be XXXX.01 - XXXX.12 still, am i right?
