Description change in wage type

Dear Team,

One of our client wants to change the name of wage type i.e. description change such as other allowance now become choice allowance in infotype 0008.

for example-

1234-other allowance- 01.01.1800 to 31.12.9999

Now client wants the rename such as:

1234- Choice allowance-01.04.2014 to 31.12.9999

We can change the description through the table v_512w_o or v_512w_t or we can use copy option.

Kindly suggest the best way!

Dear All,

Example-

1234-other allowance- 01.01.1800 to 31.12.9999

Now client wants the rename such as:

Suggestion:-

Use sm30 - table V_512W_T

Select the wage type & choose delimit + save.

after save they new date given the date - 01.04.2014

Now change the description & save.

problem solved.

Hi Rakesh

Try delimiting the end date of the first text and then copy a new entry in V_512W_T with the new dates. Hope it helps.

you can change the WT text in V_T512T table in t-code SM30.

But you can't restrict this based on dates, if it's changed it will be same at all times. There is no time constraint option for this table.

check this options, t-code SM30 , specify the table V_512W_T

Here you select the WT which you want change the text and click on Delimit.

Specify the Start date for new valid text and click on continue

Now change the Wage type text as per your requirement

click on save button

Now if you want see previous text description select the line item and click on Expand <--> Collapse button. It will show delimited record and new record

Once again if click onExpand <--> Collapse button it will show the latest line item.

And make sure when your reading the WT text descriptions in your custom reports and all where ever it's required.

Hi Rakesh,

You can configure in V_512W_T and then re-check table T512T in SE11 or SE16.
