simulation of payroll

Hi Experts,

I have a doubt , weather Master data is locked during "Payroll simulation" also?  And in the mean while  result can be posted to FICO as test run?

i know its locked after "release payroll"

Payroll Simulation can be executed even when Payroll is "Released", or when you (or someone else) is maintaining Master Data for that employee.

Payroll Calculation can't be executed for an employee when Payroll is "Released", or when you (or someone else) is maintaining Master Data for that employee.

Feature PM004 even allows you to add a "Payroll Simulation" button in IT0008 so that a simulation could be done during maintenance of IT0008.

Hi

Pay roll simulation is for only checking the whether payroll running successfully or giving any error while you are processing the payroll, this you can done at any stage.

Lock / unlock of master data will come at the time of live payroll master data & this stage you can able to live / simulation of payroll.

For making of payroll posting, you should require to run live payroll.

As per your query, please find the details:-

weather Master data is locked during "Payroll simulation" also?:- NO

Master is not lock on simulation, you can edit/ delite/ change the data.

When payroll status is Released for payroll- Past & present master data is lock while youcan change in future data.

And in the mean while  result can be posted to FICO as test run?:- NO

For FI posting live run is must if you wants to simulate check you can do through simulation.
