Hello Everbody,

Please specify as to how data flows from shipment document to shipment cost document. In this regard, please specify any copy routine or copy control which transfers field values from shipment document to shipment cost document.

Thanks & Regards...

Hi

There is no copy control or copying routines used in copying data from shipments to shipment cost document. Configuration is for specific fields like shipment status control parameter and legs. Which field or data do you want to modify as per your requirement?

Thank$

Hi,

Thanks to all for their help. Just went through the transportation and shipment documents once again. Probably I missed out on the understanding part. Please consider this discussion as closed.

Hi,

Thanks to all for their suggestions.

In our current business scenario we are not overwriting or influencing any particular field inside the shipment cost document created for a particular shipment. Just wanted to know if there is any provision given in SAP through which if any field can be influenced in shipment cost.

Thanks and Regards....

Hello MoazzaM,

Thanks for your reply.

Data from shipment flows into the cost document. Now is there any scope that data from the shipment fields be modified inside the cost document or data from shipment will get copied based on certain copying conditions being met. Now these can be any of the fields inside shipment cost item or sub-item. For that reason do we need to maintain any copy routine.

That is from the delivery to the shipment, not from the Shipment to the cost document.

As far as I know there is no copy control for the cost document.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? What fields do you want to influence?

It is always better to explain the business process and then describe what and how you are expecting SAP to perform.  This will be easy to show the right direction.
