Hello All,
we are on Business Objects 4.0 SP6 Patch 3 and planning to move to Business Objects 4.1 SP2.
Whats the best way to go about this process
1. I read upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1 has many issues. any suggestions?
2. Separate install of 4.1 is recommended and then move the contents through Promotion Management. We have many environments (based on projects <15) and each environment is clustered. After testing do we need to uninstall 4.0 on every environment and install the 4.1 SP2 and migrate the code from a standard source environment.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Thanks,
Laxmi

Depends on, what you mean by new feature.
As far as I know, only existing programs will be updated. If those include new features, they will also be installed. If there are parts of the software you did not install before, they will not be installed during the upgrade. In this case, you have to install them after upgrading manually with the installer.
