Checks before transporting BPC objects?

I need to create a checklist like before transporting BPC objects what are the checks to be performed?

One of the biggest things to remember is that you need to have the source BPC environment offline while releasing the transports and the destination BPC environment offline while importing the transports. Also, you probably already know this but wanted to re-iterate that you cannot transport objects that belong to environment "X" in the source system to environment "Y" in the destination system. Both source and destination environments need to be the same. Hope this helps.
