Hi All,
I have encountered the following issue:
I have one AUC with one depreciation area 01.
User has performed the settlement of its value to an fixed assest with two areas 01 and 15.
We realized that, only area 01 of the asset has value while area 15 remains zero.
Now the problem is: the user needs to do a credit memo on this asset.
System disallows this action for area 15 as our system configuration does not allow negative value.
Thus, my question is:
Is there anyway for the user to post the credit memo to area 01 only?
Thanks a lot for any help/advice!!

Hi Yoke Moi
For future cases, I suggest you allow Dep Area 15 for the AUC asset class also.. This will avoid such issues in future
For the present case, You have 2 options.. I propose option 1
Option 1
Create a Copy of T Type 100, say, Z01 and restrict it to Dep Area 15
Post the value into the asset dep area 15 using Z01. (T Code ABSO)
Option 2
Create a copy of the T Type you are using for Credit memo.. Restrict it to Dep Area 01.. Mostly you would be using T Type 160
Post the Cr memo using the Z T Type

Hi,
According to me, when transferring values from AUC to Fixed asset, system should take into consideration that the value passes to both 01 & 15 depreciation area. Now if you are facing issue in only one single AUC transfer then you can go to AS02 t-code and then put tick on negative value allowed in depreciation area 15 and then system will allow for posting negative values for this area for this asset.

Hello Yoke,
If we are talking on a single asset, you can go to asset master data "AS02" then "Depreciation Area" tab and double click Area 15. You can find "Neg. vals Allowed field", tick it so it will allow negative posting.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!
