Hi,
From a Client Machine, using the data service designer tool I'm trying to access the local repository the below error pop-ups.
The ODBC connection is dynamic and test connection is success.
DS Version : 4.1 SP 2
Database : Microsoft SQL 2008
In server, I'm able to access the data service designer tool and the repository. However, on outside local machine its not working. Please assist me on this.
Thank you.

Did you check if you are able to connect to this repository database from Sql Server Management studio ?

Looking at the screenshot you are able to login to BODS and unable to login to the local repository. search the sap notes, there may be sql server DLL files that you need to put in some of the folders. I've had similar connection problems but its been a while. the BODS designer doesn't have files necessary to connect to the BODS Local repository on SQL server.
Thanks,
Ashok
