MDG and MDM

Dear Experts ,

Does MDGMDM  components be installed on ECC or ECC be upgraded instead on separate server ?

You can use the term MDG; no need for MDGMDM.

Any way, what you are asking for is the "MDG deployment option." MDG can be deployed as a hub (separate server) or can be co-deployed (ECC upgraded and MDG installed on the same instance). This is one of the first decision that have to be made and there are many discussions on SCN. Please do some research. Here is something to help you start: .

Hi Raghvanedra,

MDG and MDG are two different products of SAP in which MDG is SAP ECC centric module and MDM is a tool based module which can be integrated with SAP ERP.

So, MDG can be deployed in 2 ways as mentioned below:

1) Maintenance on HUB:

Create a SAP MDG Hub and maintain the data in it and then replicate or send the data to the client system in use.

2) Maintenance on Client:

a) Maintain data on Client.

b) Replicate data to MDG Hub

c) Approve/Reowrk data in MDG Hub

d) At last,replicate data to client system again.
