what is the use and purpose and functionality of using auxiliary row in DP macro

Hi M kauser,

Auxillary row/ column are used to store data/values temporary. In macro when we want to pass or use some values then we use these auxillary rows.

Also aux KFs are never stored hence you also save on storage....but basically the usage is as bala explained.

Dear Bala / Subash,

Thanks for your reply... As per my understanding when we use a key figure in
macro, the data generated by macro is stored in that key figure, thus it is
saved in planning area/live cache and alert is generated/triggered.

But when we use auxiliary row in macro, the data generated by macro is not
stored/saved anywhere in planning area/live cache though it can trigger alert. In
this way we can generate/trigger alert without saving the data generated by macro.

Hope my point is clear.

Please confirm if my understanding is correct.
