Cannot change destination bin during confirmation

Dear SAP experts,

We are in SAP ECC 5.0. We read that we can change the destination bin during confirmation of TO. We have done the pre-requisite:

1. In relevant storage type (001) we input '1' for dst bin ch during confrm field

2. Untick physical inventory during placement to bin

Then we do GR to PO, which generate TR. We create TR into TO and specifying bin INTERIM in storage type 001. During confirmation in tcode LT12, I cannot change the destination bin. What else do I miss in here?

Hi

Apart from the storage type configuration you need to have a look at movement type level detail also(below is an example for reference purpose only you need to check the detail of movement type as per your business process (if you are using Standard SAP then for putaway my understanding it should be 101))

LE----WM-----Activities------Define movement type

Shipment Type

TO confirmation - Since you are doing the putaway activity use option "1"

Manual storage bin input should be checked

Hi Manish,

You are correct. The field TO Confirmation does it. Actually I have thought about this first, but I thought the WM mov type used is 101, but seeing from table LTAK it is actually using 999. After changing mov type 999, now i can change the destination bin.

Even though config mentions change of destination bin, there are quite a few limitations.

Have a look at below documentation from SAP

Check if your putaway falls in any of the criteria.

I have check customization LE-WM-Activities-confirmations- storage type.

The indicator is set to "1 Storage bin can be changed during confirmation' already, still not working
