BEx Analyzer Planning query accepting Blank values

Hello Experts,

Input ready query included in BEx Analyzer do not throw any error message when a column (characteristic) is not filled with any value. After saved the changes the unfilled column shows Not Assigned by default.

But the same input ready query is throwing error message as below

Missing or invalid characteristic value in new/column

Is it a normal behavior of Input ready query in BEx analyzer or any setting change required on this ?

It seems normal.

possible causes-

1. If you do not need to save any values on Not Assigned, then in the filter hardcode  the values you wanted to generate the input ready layout for saving values.

2. Normal input ready query can only executed , but there will not be any button available to save any data,  so i do not understand your sequence of query execution. Please check query once. Use the #1, and check if #2 is resolved or not.

yes it´s normal. in case of new lines you need to select the # from the F4 help for fields where you do not want to have a value.
